2014 Here I Come!

February 25, 2014 | By Dee Ann Rice

I am back or at least I think I am. If you read my last post 2013 A Year To Forget I told you about some of the problems that arose just before Christmas in my offline life.

I had all of my blog posts thought out for the end of 2013 and the beginning of 2014 until several things all happened at once. I am now going to write a post similar to the one I had intended to write for my first post in 2014.

January – February Goals

In the last post I told you my goals for January. I have most of those finished goals finished.

    1. Finish audit for 2012    GotItDone_thumb1
    2. Do taxes for 2013 and submit them early so maybe we can possiblyGotItDone_thumb5 prevent another audit
    3. Finish the 2 law suits associated with the damage done to the farm house by the renters and a contractor we hired to repair roofs.
      1. I have one of the lawsuits finished and ready to be filed. GotItDone_thumb5
      2. The second lawsuit is waiting for the criminal investigation to be finished.InProgress_thumb7
    4. Rent or sell the house on the farm.    InProgress_thumb7
      1. I am waiting for spring on this as the farm is now snowed in.

My Goals For The Rest Of 2014

1.  Complete and release my product.

Yes, I really am going to do this. I know I have been a very long time getting this done. It really terrifies me to release a product. I am so afraid that I will do something wrong. I know that I just need to get this done and move on.

I will plan on having this done by the end of May.

2. Get My EBay Auctions Started.

I won Barry’s and Steve’s product Easy Auction Income way back in November. With everything that has been going on I have not even had a chance to get started on it.

I will plan on starting Easy Auction Income in June and be making some money with it by August.

3. Get started on Flippin Profits Exposed

I also bought the product Flippin Profits Exposed in December. This is a product that teaches you how to create websites and then sell them. I plan to start working on this product during the summer. I hope to be making some money by the end of the year.

4. I will continue to post to my blog each week and commenting on as many blogs as I can during the week.

By doing this I will continue to build relationships with people

5. Towards the end of the year I may consider starting on another product.

This time I will not take forever to create and launch it.

Well there you have it. Those are my goals for the year. They may sound simple but I think I can achieve them. I am working at making money this year and have chosen a couple of products to help me do that. I may find other products along the way that will be of further help.

Why Goals?

Setting goals is always important because without goals we are like ships floating at sea with no direction.

Have You Set Goals?

Have you set your goals for 2014 yet? If you have not, it is not to late. You can see that I have just set my goals for the rest of the year.

Your goals do not have to be complicated. I think these are the most simple goals I have set yet. The thing I like about my goals this year is I can check them off as I do them. They are simple and to the point.

I Would Love To Hear From You

I love comments and hearing from all of my readers. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think about goals and setting goals for the following year.

If you find this post interesting or useful could you please share it with your friends. Thank you.

Hi Dee Ann,

I do set goals but don’t always stick to them! I find I’m a bit of a floater as my offline business is sometimes very time consuming and other ties not, so I just have to fit things in when I can, but yes, I do have goals. I am glad you have completed so many tasks you set yourself, well done you!

Enjoy the journey.

I think I do about what you do or at least describe but sometimes I just run out of time and can not get everything done. I try not to let it affect my online business but this last it definitely affected me online. I just ran out of time.

Good for you on setting goals. I think so many people don’t think it is nessasarry.

Thanks for stopping by and for your comment.

Hey Dee Ann,

I’ve got some goals as well although they don’t always pan out as you very well know. I think aiming for something though is the best way to achieve something and as we both know, things do get in the way at times.

I’m glad that most things are behind you and you can start concentrating on your business now. I have no doubt you’ll accomplish what you set out to do and we’ll be here to support you every step of the way.

Best of luck to you Dee Ann.

I am very well aware that goals do not always pan out. I think we have to be kind of flexible and willing to change our goals as circumstanses change.

I do have quite a bit done but have a lot more to get done. It is always a work in progress.

I know you have some great goals.

Thanks for stopping by and for your comment.

Awesome :)

Good to see that everything is working out!

I do have goals; I have divided them up over 12 months (easy to do this, since I did start my blog in New Year’s eve).

Sure, I have moved a few stuff back, since things didn’t work out as I expected they would (It’s okay anyways…..Now, I have more time to focus on traffic generation, build up my site before I do anything else!).

Speaking of goals, there are a few things I need to take care of (misc, but yet important)…I need to make a list (Thanks for the indirect reminder on that!).

And good luck with the rest of the year, Dee Ann 😀

I am getting there slowly but surely. I always feel like I am the tortoise in the race between the tortoise and the hare. I seem to get there slowly though and that is what counts I guess.

Glad that you have some goals. I think it is so important to have goals so we have direction.

Thanks for stopping by and for your comment.

Hi Dee Ann,

2013 wasn’t that great for me either. In fact I took a big break from blogging the latter half.

Setting goals and having a plan is SO important and often the key to getting back into the swing of things. For me I have to be careful about creating a ‘goals list’ though and not a ‘wish list’. I’m not always realistic about what I can actually accomplish :-)

My best for your success in 2014 and I look forward to your posts.

I have been bad in the past about creating a ‘wish list’ as my ‘goals list’. I am really trying now to have some really realistic goals that I can accomplish. I also want my goals to aim me towards better things in the future. It is great to finish a set of goals but if they do not lead anywhere it does not do much good.

We will see how this year goes. Hopefully better than the last.

Thanks for your comment and for stopping by.
