7-Links Challenge – A New Look

Have you been nominated for the 7 Links Challenge? It is a fun challenge to do and I feel is an honor to be nominated for.
I have actually been nominated a number of times.
I was originally nominated by Julie Dunlop, Kathy Dobson and Linda Bond back in November. At that time I did a post and listed my choices for the Challenge.
Then just recently I was nominated again by Praveen Rajarao Of Daily Morning Coffee.
I am honored to be nominated again and want to fulfill the nomination.
I have been taking Sally Neill’s “Learn With Sally” and have just finished the section on doing a powerpoint video. So, I decided that I would used my old 7 Links post, refresh it a bit and make a power point video with it.
The following gives you all the information on the 7 Links Challenge. (The information is taken from http://www.tripbase.com/blog/my-7-links-the-rules/)

Dawn,
Wow you are fast. I think this has been up for 5 minutes or so.
I really thought about just not doing it again but I needed something to do a power point on and this seemed like it would be good for a first one.
I think I need to go back over the videos again on how to do it because I have black around it and remember Sally saying something about getting rid of the black but not just sure how.
Thanks for stopping by, catch you later.

Congrats on being nominated and taking up the challenge Dee Ann!
Love the idea of doing a PowerPoint presentation instead of writing a normal post like most of us did! I think it looks wonderful and so different as well.
As I am fairly new to your blog, I yet need to check out your 7 links in the mentioned presentation and would be going through them. I guess we are similar where we posted a post about our fathers, though my dad is very much around
Nice to see the 5 bloggers you picked up, out of which I know Corinne and Leora- both of whom are also recent acquaintances. Can’t wait to see what they come up with now
Thanks for sharing more about you and your posts

Harleena,
I am glad that you liked my 7 Links presentation. I had fun doing it. It is fun to go through all of my old posts and look at them with a new prospective.
I really liked doing it as a video because I got to talk about the posts and it seemed like it made it so much more personal.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week-end.

Hello
I was just passing by as I haven’t visited in a while… my macbook is on a go-slow and I’m in Apple waiting patiently to have it looked at and here you go again with one of my favourite posts!
If everything goes well with the macbook today, I shall get right to it

I love this challenge Dee Ann and you’re brave to do it again. But since you needed to do a powerpoint video for Sally’s program, I guess this was as good as any right.
If you would have waited a month or so you’d have some new posts to include. I think this would be fun to do like once a year you know. We’re always cranking out new content so I’m sure we’ll have more to include.
Praveen did good nominating your again and you did a good job on the video. Bravo, one down now!
Have a great afternoon Dee Ann!

Adrienne,
I love this challenge also and I agree with you about doing it once a year. It might be fun to do at the end of every year for that year.
I might think about that as my last post for 2012. I would not need to nominate anyone but just do it as an overview of the past year.
I had fun doing this one again as a video.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Hi Dee Ann, I agree with Adrienne, this is a great way to sum up maybe every year or so, and what a great way to fulfill one of Sally’s tasks! I’ve visited a few people who have undertaken the Challenge and it’s been a great way to point me towards posts I may have missed on their blogs.
Enjoy the journey.

Mandy,
I think doing something like this to sum up a year is a great idea and I think I am going to do it at the end of this year.
It will kind of document the journey I have made this year.
I also like this challenge because I find posts that I have missed or were written before I started blogging or found their sites.
Thanks for stopping by.

Praveen,
Thank you for nominating me for this Challenge. I had fun doing it and being creative in how I did it.
I hope I came close to the right pronunciation of your name. I actually practiced saying it several times before I did the video. That is the only thing about doing a video, you have to pronounce names that usually you just write.
Thanks again for nominating me.

It is absolutely fine Dee Ann. I get this a lot here in the US because everyone thinks the “J” in my last name is silent like in “Jose” while it isnt.

Praveen,
I think it is because we are all used to Spanish. That is where we see the “J” like in your name. In Spanish the “J” is said as a “H” but is almost silent.
I wish I would of know how to pronounce your name before I did the post. Still not sure I could do it right but would make a better attempt.

What a genius idea to use Sally’s challenge to do the 7 link challenge.
I am surprised you did it again, but kudos to you!! PowerPoint always comes in handy when doing videos.

Interesting idea with PowerPoint files. What I like the most is that they are sent to mass in emails if you do a really good job. It’s good to know that I can transform them to videos as well.

I might steal that video idea! Maybe I can do something like a Prezi or something more interactive. I really do love this challenge and it is an honor to get nominated again.

Hi Dee Ann,
What splendid concept this 7 Links Challenge is! I don’t even have 7 posts altogether yet – actually my site isn’t even a week old yet – LOL
I’m really happy I stumbled onto your blog – so much to learn! – and the Fish Story is my fave so far
Thanks for brilliant content.
