Goodbye 2012!!! Hello 2013!!!
This is going to be the last post I write you in 2012 and the first post in 2013.
I don’t know about you but I am not to sad to see 2012 go and am looking forward to a fresh start in 2013.
The last post I wrote in 2011 was a post on goals I had for 2012. I actually included most of my goals in that post. There were a few that I added later but for the most part they are all there. If you want to see what my goals were you can go back and read that post.
2012 Overview
This past year year has been a really tough year for me. I started out really well. I was consistently writing a blog post a week and commenting like crazy. My blog was really going well. I worked really hard on my product that I am creating. I thought that everything was going great.
As the spring led into summer my knee became increasingly worse and the pain was so bad that it got hard to concentrate. I had my knee operated on in July. Having had 4 previous knee operations I thought I knew how the recovery would be. I was wrong. It was the worse recovery so far and I was not able to work on anything on my computer for 2 to 3 months.
With fall I set out to finish my product and start posting and commenting again. I have slowly achieved this but not as well as I would of liked.
With winter came another blow and time taken away from my blog. We have a rental. It is a farm house and our renters moved out but before they did they trashed our house and caused enough damage that it can not be rented until about $55,000.00 worth of repairs are done to it. I had to spend time out at the farm closing the house up for winter.
My 2012 Goals
Despite all of the time that I had to spend not working on my online ventures I actually met or almost met most of my goals.
I think the biggest goal was to complete what I thought at that time would be an ebook. It actually turned into a membership site and it is complete as of December 31, 2012. Now all I have to do is to launch it. I am planning on doing this early in 2013.
I have discovered that the launch is almost as daunting as making the product so I am now working on learning everything I can about launching a product.
Welcome 2013
2013 I really have high hopes for you. I am hoping for not so many road blocks during this next year and am very excited for some new ventures I have in mind.
After the launch of my first product I really want to start working on another one and make it even better than my first.
Happy New Year
I want to wish you all a very Happy and Prosperous New Year.
I always love comments so leave me a comment and just say “hi”. Include your any plans you have for your New Year or Rememberences from 2012.

Hi Dee,
I agree with you. Not sad to see 2012 go!. LOL It’s been a tough one. I’m not crazy about making resolutions all the time. I have a few plans and ideas and I am going to work on them and attack them !. I like your post! It’s odd that it feels good to know I’m not the only one who has a tough time getting things done lol Good Luck !
Colleen,
It is always good to know you are not the only one out there that feels like you do.
I think that is the great thing about blogging. You soon find out that there are many others out there who have the same feeling and problems that you do. I love it.
2013 is going to be great for all of us. Especially if we are all in it together.
Happy New Year to you and all the best in 2013.
Dee Ann
Hi Dee Ann,
Congratulations on meeting almost all of your goals for 2012!
I am excited to hear that the initial ebook actually turned into a membership site! Amazing isn’t it that dreams can get bigger and bigger as we grow! It happens to me
Wishing you the Best for your product launch in 2013!

Viola,
Thank you for your congratulations and best wishes. I really am excited and terrified at the same time about a product launch. I thin the easy part is producing the product.
Thank you for your comment and have a great week.

Wow – I can see why you’ll be pleased to seee the end of 2012 and I do hope 2013 has fewer problems.
Isn’t it a shame when people take less care with other people’s property than they do if it was their own? I’ve had similar problems over the years, but not to the extent you have.
Congratulations on your membership site. I know your members will get a lot of value.
Take care and best wishes for 2013.
Jean,
I had never seen anything like my situation either. I knew that they did not necessarily keep house like I would but when I walked through my house for the first time when they were moving out I just wanted to cry. What I saw was not describable.
I am really looking forward to launching my membership site. I just have to get the work done so it can be launched.
Thanks for stopping by and have a very Happy New Year.

Hi DeeAnn
So sorry to hear your farm got trashed (some people just have no respect for other peoples property)
You’ve had so many set backs this year DeeAnn so well done you on getting what you have done accomplished.
Your membership site looks fab and I’m sure your launch will be a great success.
For me 2013 is all about building my funnel and building my lists.
I’ve also got myself a biz partner to share the workload so that should kick me up the bum to take action (lol)
Happy new year DeeAnn, hope 2013 is a good one for you.
Take care
Dawn
Dawn,
That is great you have a partner now. It is so nice when there is someone to share the work load with.
I have had a lot of set backs this past year but I am still plugging along.
I wish you much success in 2013.
Thanks for stopping by.

Dee Ann, I landed here from Adrienne’s post.
Glad you met almost all your goal inspite of interminable knee pain. Great going.
Looking forward to your e-book, awesome way of giving back to blogging community.
Wishing you Happy & prosperous New year 2013.

Kumar,
Great to meet you and see you over at my blog.
I am really excited about my product and am excited about the launch.
I hope to see more of you in the new year.
Here’s wishing you a very Happy New Year and best of luck in 2013.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Dee Ann,
I hope that you’ve been able to sort those people out who trashed your farm.
As we’re in contact with each other on a regular basis I’ve been kept up to date as you’ve made your way through the year.
With everything you’ve been through this year I think you’ve done well to complete your product. I can see the amount of work involved in it so I know you’ve worked hard.
With everything else going on off line as well you’ve certainly pushed yourself.
Like you I’m pleased to see the back of 2012 and wish for a much better year for us both… Which of course it will be
Happy New year Dee Ann,
Barry
Barry,
We gave the people who trashed the farm a bill for the $55,000.00 but there is no way they will pay a cent of it. I guess that is just the way it goes and we will deal with it.
I know you have been in the same position as I have for much of the year. I think it is amazing that you got as much done as you did.
I also hope that 2013 is a much better year for both of us. I really think that it can only get better and have high hopes for 2013.
Happy New Year to you and thanks for the comment.

Hey Dee Ann,
I was kind of sad to see 2012 go but that just means that it’s time for new things.
I’m actually excited about your product launch and can’t wait until the big day. I say that because I know it’s a fabulous product and one that will really be so helpful for so many bloggers. I have no doubt it will be a big hit.
Despite everything you had to deal with, almost reaching all of your goals is huge. I didn’t reach all of mine but for the most part I accomplished quite a bit. Now I need to get off my you know what and do what you just finished, a product.
I know that this year will be much better and I’m sorry you had to deal with all of that. Let’s just hope this year will be so much better.
Happy New Year~!

I have high hopes for 2013.
I am really excited that you are going to do a product. I have decided thought that the easy part is producing the product as the product launch seems overwhelming to me right now. I am really excited about launching it though.

Atish,
That is good you have goals. Without them we do not get anywhere.
I also hope that you achieve your goals this year.
I think we will all achieve our goals with each others help.
Thank you for your comment.

Wow, good for you, DeeAnn, a membership site! What a great achievement for 2012. Despite your difficulties you have managed to press on and get a load of tasks done and good for you! I look forward to seeing your new site launched!
Enjoy the journey.
Mandy
Mandy,
Well, it is not done yet but I am hoping to have it done soon. Then I have to do the launch. I think the launch is more difficult than making the product.
I hope you have a great New Year.

Hi Dee Ann
I’m sorry to hear about the issues you had on your farm. That’s a heck of a lot of damage.
We had planned to rent out of apartment last year but in the end decided to sell it. You never really the people who rent from you, do you?
With the things that have happened to you in 2012 it really is a great achievement that you managed to do so much. I didn’t really have any long term goals last year but this year I have started up a niche blog and am excited to get that up an running.
Here’s to a successful 2013 for you Dee Ann and especially for your product launch!

Tim,
The issues with the farm are quite overwhelming but we are starting to get plans together to fix things. It is one heck of a lot of damage. I knew there was a lot of damage but when I had the contractor out there giving me a quote I was astonished at the price to fix it.
I figured if I did not persist through everything I would never get anything done.
I am really excited about the product launch and hope to do it soon.
Thanks for the comment.

I agree with Tim, it’s incredible that you’ve achieved so much in the circumstances – a real credit to your personality and drive.

Sue,
I just took one day at a time and plugged along. It was the best I could do and the only way I was going to get anything done.
I am really hoping that 2013 works out better and I get this product launched. I am really excited about my product launch.
Thanks for the comment.
