With Christmas just a few days away I decided to make this post my Christmas Card to all of you from all of my family.

This past year has been an interesting one.  I started my blog and have learned so much thanks to many great people that I have met online.

Off line it has been a good year also.

I started out the year visiting with a brand new grand-baby.  It was great fun to hold her and help take care of her for a few days.  We moved my daughter and her family to their new home after which we spent a week camping with my children in southern Idaho during June.  We also got to go camping several other times during the summer.  We also enjoyed several visits from friends and family during the summer.

Christmas has always been about spending time with family for me.  I always enjoy getting together with all of my children and grandchildren.  It is so much fun seeing everyone and being together again for a short period of time.

I hope that you all have a very blessed Christmas and enjoy your time with friends and family.

Thought that I would write a post about  my life while I am not on the internet.

Hauling Hay

We have 5 horses.  Three of them are in the collage above.  We also have sheep and a llama.  All of these animals have to eat so, I spent the last week hauling about 30 tons of hay.

Yes, that is me on the tractor.

Hopefully this will last them for a year.  It only took us 10 loads (my husband helped with a few of those and the rest I did while he was at work) and I am very glad that it is done for another year.  Now our horses and other animals will be happy and I can get on to other things.

Trip to Seattle

I also took a short trip with an old friend to Seattle for a couple of days.


We had great fun catching up after not seeing each other for several years, visiting my sister, going on a cruise and just seeing the city.

So now that I have had my second break from blogging this summer (most of which was spent hauling hay).  I am ready to be back and get started on my eBook.

I really do not have any moral to this post.  Just wanted to show what I had been up to and share a little of my life off line with all of you.

My goal is to update my blog twice a week but I usually only get it done about once a week.

This time though I have a reason or maybe an excuse for not updating.

We went on a short vacation this past week.  So between trying to get ready to go and being out where there was no internet, I did not get my blog updated.

It was a fun vacation though.  We went down to southern Idaho and went camping with my children.  Only one of my children was not able to make it.  He is a professional diver in the Gulf of Mexico and was off shore at the time.

We had great fun camping, fishing and sitting around the campfire, even if it did rain most everyday for a period of time.

It was really good to take a breather from the internet for a few days and spend time with family.

I would recommend that everyone find some time this summer to reconnect with family or just get away for a few days.  It gives you renewed energy when you get home and back to your computer.

I know other people have talked about taking time out to spend time with children and spouses and I have to agree with them, it is really important.
